How to import only 1 post from backup?

  • Hello, how can I import 1 big post from a backup?

Where do I find in the database the:
    -tags used in that post
    -html of that post
    -title of that post
-in which categories was added that post

    Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot import a single post from a database backup as it would require updates across multiple database tables. I’d suggest that you just re-create the post manually.

Yes, I want to create the post manually once again, but I would like to find at least the: title and html used in that post.

I would access phpmyadmin and find this data. That post had 2-3 hours of work, was really huge and time consuming.

I would create it manually, but I need the HTML back. Any hints?

Try looking in the wp_posts table for the original content.

ok I got the html there… and where can I find the tags and the categories the post was added to?

I needed to import a single post and found this plugin:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-export-for-wp-wpmu/

No need to manually recreate it if you use the plugin.

BUT, if you want to do it manually, you can find the tags and categories under the wp_terms/wp_term_taxonomy/wp_term_relationships tables. Viewing them will make it clearer how the tags/categories are associated with your post. (The post ID is listed as the object_id in the wp_term_relationships table.)

    Hope that helps!
