I want to switch to NG mainly because apparently with a standard WP gallery the navigation between images doesn’t correspond to that of the images in the gallery view— i.e., when you click an image thumbnail in a gallery you go to the “attachment” page, and when you click either Next or Previous from there you end up at the next or previous attachment ID, not what you would think you should be going to based on the gallery thumbnail layout. Supposedly it’s impossible to make WP do this.
Anyway, NG looks wonderful but I don’t want to migrate everything to it until I can be certain I can also migrate over all the comments for the existing images, but I haven’t found a way to do this. Thanks in advance for any help with this.
TL;DR: When migrating images to NG, how to also migrate the comments that were made on the media in WP so that they show under the images in NG single image view and in the WordPress comments widgets, etc.?
