This means that your file is in not correct format. Must be csv (or xml)

Thanks for your plugin. The styling is very good 🙂 I am getting Can’t open file: . Error: 0. when I try to create a new table and my file is in csv format.

Answer is the same. Maybe your file has not correct structure or format. Other possible reasons: you have too big size for file, your delimiter in CSV is not correct

    Hello,
I love this easy to use Table Maker and created many small tables. Now, I need to import a large csv file. As a test, I exported an Excel file as a csv file, 5 columns x 5 rows and the file shows .csv extension.

I open a new table, empty content, and browse and pick the above csv file. It does import. However, it imports as single row and 25 columns and only show the first 5 columns.

Could you shed some light on this matter? I would very much like to import a csv file with over 5 columns by 500 rows.

I’m also having this problem. I have very small (<50kb) files that refuse to upload, “Error: 2”. I’ve tried both formats (csv and xml), removed all formatting, renamed, changed comma/semi-colon dropdown, etc. to no avail. Is this feature broken?

For those of you who are having export/import function problem in TableMaker when using Mac Excel, I may have a solution. Go to Save File As and select “Windows Comma Separated (csv)” in Specialty Formats section as your export format. Make sure the saved filed has .csv extension. This is the only format that worked from Mac. Just saving the file as Common Formats csv file will not work.

Also, if your exporting data has any foreign accent marks, then that particular cell will be blank when imported. Only solution I had for that was just copy and paste once the TableMaker table is established.

I have made sure that the file is saved as a windows csv, set the row/columns but still get cant load error 0, have looked at csv file in Notepad and it looks good, it is only text and number.

Have tried with xml – it loads and saves bt ends up wth zero rows/columns -I now give up and go elsewhere – shame – it looked promising

I was also unable to get this to work.

Mac OSX El Capitan v. 10.11.16
    Microsoft Excel 2011 v. 14.6.9
    File types csv and xml
