How to hide topics from restricted forums?

Hello,

I wonder how I can hide topics from restricted forums in bbpress topic index, bbpress search and recent topics sidebar widget?

We have a restricted forum with access only for a specific membership level. This works so far. No other user can access the forum. But all the topics from that forum can be seen in the recent topics sidebar widget, the topic index and in bbpress search. Within the search even the whole topic content.

This was tested with a user that has no access to this forum.

In addition to that. The whole topic from the restricted forum is also visible in the buddypress activity feed.

Hi @marowi,

I was not able to recreate this, a non-member on my test site is unable to any forum search results or widgets in the sidebar. Can you confirm the metabox (“Require Membership”) to restrict this forum to all your membership levels only is checked?

“Team Canada” is the membership level, that is needed for access to the restricted forum. It is also a private forum.

Users who don’t have this membership level can’t go into the forum, but they can see the headings of topics from this forum in sidebars and widgets. And the whole content within search results.

But it does not seem to work.
