    Hello,

We are always indebted to this wonderful plugin.

I have done the update to v3.2.16.
I would like to keep the download count private.
In v3.1.28, I had to remove the relevant code from the file in the page template.
However, in v3.2.16 I can’t find the file I need to fix.
Can you tell me how to make the download count private (hidden)?
I am using Simple Field Template 2 (or Simplefield Template as it was in 3.1).

    Best Regards
    Addkyoto

  • Hi @addkyoto
I hope you are doing great.
The file path should be wp-content\plugins\download-manager\src\Package\views\page-templates\page-template-simple.php like this.
Also, please follow this doc in order to proceed with the proper template override procedure.
    Thank You

    Hello,

I guess I was still lacking in understanding.

I went to the following folder, duplicated “page-template-simple.php” and saved it under a different name.
I then customized that template and used it.
    *\wp-content\plugins\download-manager\src\Package\views\page-templates
However, when you update the plugin, your customized templates will be deleted.

So, using the instructions in the link I created a template folder in my theme, but it did not work well.

What would it take to leave a new template?

    Best Regards.

    Hi,
Please make sure that you are keeping your customized file by following the below structure.
    /{active-theme}/download-manager/link-templates or page-templates
    It should work.
Let me know about it then.
    Regards

    Hello,

    Thank you for the support.
It seems that my understanding was wrong.
I was also reproducing the “src\Package\views” folder, but that was the cause.

If you are having the same problem as I am, you may want to put the page-template.php file in the following location.

    Best Regards.

    Hi,
    You are welcome.
Also, glad to hear that you found the cause.
Let us know if you need further assistance.
    Regards
