How to hide tags on posts

  • Use CSS to hide the ID or CLASS, or remove them from the loop in the theme.

    Can you elaborate on how to do it. Much appreciated.

    @alchymyth

    edit index.php (if the tags appear on the front page posts) and/or single.php (for the tags on single posts) and find the line with the_tags() (there will be some stuff in the brackets)

    then remove the code (if you need help with the exact bits to remove, you could post the line of code here)

    when you post a link to your site, it will be easier to make purposeful suggestions (not everybody knows your theme or is willing to download it, to check your issue)

    Thanks. here is my site… http://monicadwilliams.com

    @alchymyth

    edit index.php (most probably, unless your theme is totally different)

    and look for:

    <?php the_tags( '<p>Tags: ', ', ', '</p>'); ?>

    and remove this.

    make backup copies of your theme files before editing

    for single post views, do the same in single.php

    (there might be other templates where to change it, such as archive.php, category.php, search.php etc; although your theme might not have all of them)

    Thank you for taking the time to help a stranger.
