Hi,
I want to archive posts by year and have the year linking to a page of posts from that year. I do not want a list of posts under the year. I’m using this as a shortcode in a widget in the sidebar.

can I have a shortcode that would call categories by year on one page and a different category by year on another page? My client is using posts for News and for Events.

Hi Andahs,

to only list posts from certain categories, use this shortcode: [SimpleYearlyArchive include="x,y,z"] where x,y,z is a commaseparated list of category IDs.
