How to Hide Control Panel Tabs? (5 posts)

I am wanting to Hide several of the WordPress Control Panel tabs.. My reason for doing this is because I do not want the person who will be adding content to have access to the Change the Theme or the plugins.

I would like to be able to remove these tabs (appearance, plugins, users, tools, settings - and also the installed plugins).

I know that different user roles can be assigned - but this user has to be an Administrator in order to Edit the custom Flutter write panels..

So, how can I have an Administrator account with these tabs hidden?

    Thanks.

Check out the plugin Clutter-Free, I'm not shure, but I think it will do the job. You can even hide the whole dashboard and put in your own code :D

It looks to me like Clutter-free just lets you choose which elements you want to display on the post screen -- that's all I see when I go to the Profile page. Are there other settings you were able to find that effect the dashboard itself?

Yeah, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/admin-menu-editor/ was exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't get the "access level" feature to work correctly though, so I just hid the entire section from everyone (including me).
