    Hi buddies,

Well, that’s a tricky modification to make and one that isn’t just located in a single file.

Can you tell me exactly what you’re trying to achieve here? That may help me guide you to a better solution.

I want to hide a phone number and a website address to visitors, so that they have to join my site first before they can see all the details. That’s all.

By the way, I have created a test listing, and a test user to reply to the test ad. But, nothing happens?! I don’t receive any email or anything that tells me someone has replied to my listing?

    Hi buddies,

You should be able to get the email, but it depends more on your mail server and configuration than it does with BD. Here is a debugging article that may help pinpoint the issue with receiving your email: http://www.awpcp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=962 (this is from AWPCP, our sister plugin, but the principles are the same, the plugin used can work for both)

As to the field hiding, we can’t hide specific fields from visitors, so perhaps you’ll need to make custom modifications after all. If you’re not comfortable reading and modifying code, you may want to hire a developer from oDesk to help out.
