I’m using the Weaver xtreme theme for my site, and wp version 4.1. The link to my site is http://www.kissmyex.com.

I’m thinking there has to be a plugin where I don’t need to write code, which will help me have the two different widgets but with different topics underneath. For example: underneath Breakup Advice I would like to have my articles that I write for my users to read. And underneath Recent Posts I would like it to have the links to all the posts that my users have submitted recently. I’m using the User Submitted Posts plugin for my users to submit posts. Any advice on plugins I can use to create these two different widget areas, or is this a simple thing I can do without any plugin? Thank you for any help.

I’m new to WP by the way, so if i’m not using correct terms I apologize.

Keep what you already have for the posts and make a Custom Menu for your articles. Dashboard > Appearance > Menus is where you can do that, then place a Custom Menu widget wherever you want it and select your new Custom Menu. Also, you can tell that Custom Menu to automatically add new pages (articles), if you wish.

note: I believe you could even do the same with Custom Menus for categories of posts.

Agree with @leejosopho but you may also want to try this plugin:

It has a lot of cool features like sort order, limit posts to specific categories (which is as I understand what you need), thumbnail and excerpt display and more. I use it on many sites and it works like a charm.
