How to have image thumbnail shown in recent post widget

    Hello Anthony,

    I just started using this theme and enjoy it very much. Thanks for publishing it for free. Much appreciated.

    I have several questions tho. Thanks in advance.

    1. how can I have the image thumbnail to show like https://demo.skyrocketthemes.com/ephemeris? Right now in my recent post widget there is only text showing up.

    2. Is it possible to have excerpt on right side of featured image from PC layout?

    3. Is it possible to have an button on mobile layout to “show fullsite” or to force to show fullsite on mobile device totally?

    1. solved by adding a plugin called recent post with thumbnails.

    Hi,

    1. It looks like you’ve worked this one out. I’m also using the Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails plugin to show those Recent Post links with the thumbnail.

    2. I’m not sure what you’re referring to here. Are you referring to that Recent Posts list in the sidebar? If so, yes, you can show the excerpt. That’s a feature of the plugin though, not my theme.

    3. I don’t have any option in the theme to show the full site in mobile view. I would strongly advise against implementing anything like this as well. It will make your site very hard to read on smaller devices. The beauty of a responsive website, is that all the elements adjust to fit the browser width, which keeps everything easy to read.

    Is it possible to move the excerpt to right side of the featured image. Right now I am using a pretty small featured image so there is quite some empty space beside the featured image.

    Thanks for clarifying that.

    You could probably do it with some css, by floating the image left and the text right. By default though, the Featured Image displays the full width of that content area, as shown in my theme demo – https://demo.skyrocketthemes.com/ephemeris/blog/

    Do you have link to your site so that I could see how it’s currently displaying?
