How to have a personal feed blog icon for BlogLines
-
I am using WordPress for my static website and my blog, hosting with BlueHost at http://www.palettedome.com. I am quite new to blogging, and have just realized that I can actually assign an icon or image icon for my feed, so when viewed on BlogLines it will have my personalized icon next to it. I have followed Snook.ca and added the needed lines in the proper sections of feed-atom.php, feed-rss.php and feed-rss2.php in the wp-includes folder on my server. I am using images I keep public on my site. I tried using GIF, PNG and JPG formats of images, all sized 16×16, and all named feedicon.xxx (no capital letters as I understood that might be a problem), yet no matter what image format I use, BlogLines does not display my logo. Any idea how can I fix this matter? Any suggestions on how to make the insertion of the image “generic”, somewhat like favicon for a browser? It would be cool if that could be included in future WordPress versions…
Thanks,
