[Resolved] How to have a custom field with more data

  • Hello,

I would like to have a special custom field show up under my blog posts.

    • I want the user to be able to enter the type of custom field “link” in the custom field name.
    • I want the user to be able to enter the link title under the custom field value
    • And I want the user to be able to enter the url for the link to point to

Any idea on the best way to modify custom fields to store a little more data?

  • I messed about trying to do something like that myself; and finally ended up just using the More Fields plugin. It’s not perfect (for instance, if you enable the WYSIWYG/Visual editor, there is no way to view/edit the HTML code within the textarea), but it does make it easy and quick to add custom fields and group them together on the post page.
