• Here is my spec. How can I do it?

    19. Inventors’ Blogs. These blogs are for one WP installation only.
19.1. One Inventors’ Blogs page will display up to 100 links. Each link is to a different Inventor’s page or blog, but still using the same WP database.
19.2 Different Inventors can create their own page or blog. Doing so will preferably automatically add a link to their page or blog on the Inventors’ Blogs page in #19.1. Each Inventor will have a login and password to create and edit their page or blog.
19.3 Visitors/readers can leave comments on the Inventor’s page or blog.

Here is what I’ve tried that doesn’t work:
    1. Make each Inventor an Author, because:
1.1 the Author can only make a post that appears on the main blog page in 19.1 and not on his own individual page or blog in 19.2.
1.2 placing a post in a category still does not prevent the post from appearing on the main blog page in 19.1.
    2. Make each Inventor an Editor, because each Inventor can edit another Inventor’s pages and posts. This must be prevented.

    Please Help!

    can anybody help please?

I am afraid nobody really knows what are you talking about…
What are those paragraph numbers? Seemingly, you are quoting from somewhere, just nobody understands what do you want.

I understand it. Tried to do the same thing myself.

There are several plugins available that will limit users to only author in certain categories. This will do what you want, however, every time a user creates a new category, its permissions will need to be setup.

My conclusion was to use WordPress MU.
