How to get theme page to show up on my web site

    I just purchased a theme to use with WordPress. I have a menu and pages, and clicked Publish which I thought would make this new page appear as my web site, but my web site is just the same, namely the original theme that I have activated. How do I get the new page that I made with my theme to become my web page when I go to my web page?
