Support » Fixing WordPress » how to get the_excerpt_rss() output without all HTML tags stripped?

I thought this should be simple, but after hours of searching, I can’t find a solution for it: My RSS feed is excerpt only, and hence all HTML tags are being stripped – which looks ugly and I’d like to keep some of the original posting’s styling in the RSS output, like bold, italic, colors.

Is there any way to modify the output of just the_excerpt_rss() without modifying the output of the_exerpt() in total? Hence, I need the (default) HTML-tag-stripped output of the_excerpt() but at the same time I’d like to have the_excerpt_rss() including some/all HTML tags of the original posting …

    Thanks for your help!
    Franz
