Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » How to get Tag or Category page to list post titles in meta description

  • Hello!

What can I put in the Categories or Tags meta description box in WP SEO to get them to list the titles of their respective posts, comma-separated? %%excerpt%% doesn’t work.

In other words, how can the meta description of the “Category 1” page (website.com/category/1) to be “description=”category 1 post 1, category 1 post 2, category 1 post 3,…”?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I dont a have a solution to your problem but rather a question regarding a post you started almost a year ago.

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/indexphp-hogging-resources-causing-downtime

How did you solve this problem? I am facing the exact same problem.

Its been almost a week and no one seems to know what is going on.

Im sorry to interrupt in the wrong thread but I couldnt find any other way to contact you.

I would really appreciate your assistance. I am at my wits end.

    Thank You

Hi, to be honest I never really found a solution. I switched to a VPS, had them optimize as much as possible, installed and set up W3TC, added a CDN, and I’m still working on optimizing everything. I’m thinking about just sucking it up and hiring someone to take care of the loading issue. At least it’s no longer causing downtime.

Sorry, I wish I could give you an answer. Please let me know if you find out what’s going on.

There has to be a way to do this – what is everyone else using for their category/tag page descriptions? It makes sense to just list out the post titles, I would think. Thanks!
