How to get rid of ‘posted by’

  • I’m using the Fusion Theme and I noticed that just above every post of mine is this ‘Posted by Norbert G in Uncategorized on June 17th, 2009’ How can I get rid of that part of the blog? It’s distracting from my actual blog post. How can I turn that part off?

    Edit your theme’s index.php template file and look for something like:

    Posted by <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> in <?php the_category();?> on <?php the_time("F j, Y"); ?>

    Deleting this code snippet should remove that line from your posts on the blog’s front page. Repeat on single.php. You may also have to carry out the same edit on category.php, archive.php and tag.php if these template files exist in your theme.
