  • heres the problem, i have some text at the top of my blog that i want to get rid of. you can take a look at it here:

    its the part that says:

    Hello world!

    for the life of me i cannot find a way to get rid of that. from my experiences so far, a tottal of 2 days, i’ve come to figure that its a part of a script or something somewhere. or something that is produced automaticly, because unlike html code i cant find that text anywhere. and since im completely new to css and php i dont even understand what in the code would be causeing the text to appear.

    so i started running tests, i made back ups of all my files so i can one by one send a blank file up to my server and see what the effect is, so far i’ve dont that to header.php, which resulted in the page not readign the stylesheet, i tried with style.css, with the same effect. then the side bars “sidebar.php” and sidebar2.php… i didnt quite understand why i had two side bars, but i got rid of the sidebars too eventualy as i wanted… the only thing i cant get rid of is the text i spoke about above.

    as far as i know im useing the newest form of wordpress, im also utilizing the layout “05-moon-10” although you probably couldnt recognize it…

    if someon could help me on this it would be greatly appreciated.

  • aparently im an idiot, cause none of this is makeing sense anymore. all i want is how to get rid of that one spot, and i cant figure it out…

    if i just knew what that sort of thing is called or where its located in the code…

    It should be in the header.php template file and it is called by the the template tag “bloginfo (linked above) – did you read the article?

    honestly, my head hurts right now

    you know… this is what my head looks like right now…

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN” “”>
    <html xmlns=””>
    <head profile=”″>

    <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_url’); ?>” type=”text/css” media=”screen” />

    im not sure where this thing is supposed to be

    Bad coding for a theme… (unless it is your modification)
    Then it should be in zillion other files: index, archive, single, page etc.

    Get a real normal theme 🙂

    maybe i should just edit the default theme…

    or rather does anyone know of a simple ‘blog only’ layout. with no sidebars or weird stuff?
