Support » Fixing WordPress » How to get past maintenance error? Tried several methods and still unsuccessful

  • I keep running into the “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance” error which has been discussed on several other forums. But my problem is bigger than that.

I also got an email from WordPress saying that Jetpack was causing the issue and they sent me a recover link. But when I clicked on that link, it gave me an error 429, so I couldn’t get access to my dashboard.

I tried searching for other ways that I could fix the maintenance mode issue, but each one involved logging in to my dashboard which is something I can’t do. I downloaded Filezilla and tried following these steps https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-filezilla/ but I couldn’t get it to work. I can’t find my FTP details anywhere. I know you can set it up through WordPress, but I can’t do that because I’m completely locked out.

I tried accessing my cpanel using the :2083 and /cpanel methods, and I even tried putting my hosting IP address in there. I ran into an error 522 when I tried thenotenetwork.com.au:2083 and then just generic errors when I tred the other methods.

Is there any other way I haven’t tried that might work? It can’t involve accessing my WordPress dashboard because that’s the main issue here. Am I doing something wrong with any of the methods I’ve tried?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
