How to get notified

    I have people successfully commenting on my site, and I developed the app as best as I could tell from the instructions. As far as I can tell, it is working, but I do not get notified of new comments through any mechanism.

    WordPress doesn’t notify me that new Facebook comments have been posted, and I am also not notified in Facebook.com that new comments have been posted.

    I went to one of my articles and saw 4 people had commented over a week ago, but I had no idea. I have to imagine that this app notifies you (either directly, or through Facebook) when new comments are added.

    What am I doing wrong and why am I not being notified?

    Have you added yourself as a moderator within the comments settings?

    I have.

    I found my own personal Facebook user id number (thought the mechanism linked in the app doesn’t work). Once I entered that number in, I can see I am able to moderate comments on my articles.

    I just don’t get notified on Facebook at all.

    Okay, this has been resolved.

    I thought adding my user ID number within the app settings enabled notification.

    I had to click “settings” on the app inside one of my articles, and manually add myself there.

    Then I started receiving notifications. That definitely was confusing to me.

    It’s a bit odd yes but sometimes the app creator does not need to be a moderator too. Also you may want multiple moderators. Glad you got it sorted 🙂
