• Hi there,

Please bear with me as I’m fairly new to the eccomerce scene.
I’m having a problem at the moment with woocommerce as I’m looking to select ‘add product’ to have many different products appear on one page (like a catologue) as opposed to just one.
Does anyone know how I would be able to do this and whether I can?

Also, I have an issue with the products and how to find them e.g. it doesnt seem to give me the option of linking to a parent page so the items can appear under a particular page.
Could anyone assist me this? (I apologise for having more than 1 query here) Thanks in advance.

Not sure what you’re asking here; the ‘shop’ page shows all products in a grid. This is the catalog.

Sorry, I’m looking to have many different products showing on a page, im guessing similar to what the ‘shop’ page can provide. How would I get the shop page?
Again, apologies for any misunderstandings caused.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for your help.
I wanted to ask if its possible to have more than one ‘shop’ page?
for example, the ‘shop’ page has currently been set to one particular product on offer but I was hoping to have the same thing for multiple products I have?

Looking at other threads previously, it seems I need to add categories for each product (correct me if im wrong), however, when I add a category, it doesnt seem to save for some reason. could you help with this at all?
    kind regards

There is one shop page only since its a custom post type archive, but you can use categories and those can list products in the same way.

    OK thank you.

However, i find myself in difficulty trying to add categories as they do not seem to save for some reason.
could you help me with this at all please?

What do you mean by that? Where are you setting them?

I’m trying to add categories via ‘Appearance – Menus – Product Categories’ and. Its shows me I have no items.

Also, in woocommerce, ‘Products – Categories’, I have entered my product category followed by ‘Add New Product Category’ at the bottom of page.
However, when I return to the page it shows no categories as being recorded.

    Hope that makes sense

Add them via Products > Categories, then edit a product and assign them per product, followed by saving the product.

    Thank you for your help.

I’ve tried to add them via the process you have mentioned although, the product categories do not seem to save.
As a result, I cannot seem to add products to an alternative page.

I have no issues assigning categories and saving. After checking the boxes you click the ‘update’ button and thats it. Same process for regular posts.

    Hi there,

After more attempts with adding categories, I do not seem to be having much success.
Once adding a category and following the process you have suggested, the category section does not list the category’s saved. However, when I initially set up the category (whilst remaining on the same page), it gives me the option of ‘view’ which takes me to the website which shows all the category’s listed (as shown below).

Never seen this before thats odd. Can you:

    a) post status https://wordpress.org/support/topic/before-posting-gather-the-following-details?replies=1

    b) go to posts > categories and see if the same occurs.
