• The very first thing mentioned on this page
    Twenty Fourteen

explains that 2014 theme basically comes in two formats:
    Grid or Slider
I am wanting the Grid version

    Choose your Layout

You can either have a grid layout or a slider on the homepage. Here’s how they look:

( the text goes on to say: )

To choose your layout, open up the Theme Customizer:

Under *Featured Content* select your preferred layout from the drop down.

When you’re done click Save and Publish.

I did all of that but still do not see anywhere to add pictures to end up with the “magazine” type or “magazine” style layout.

My client wants about 6 pics on the home page and I like the “grid” 2014 but don’t see how to do that and following the instructions didn’t pull it off.
    Obviously I missed something
    please help

  • refers only to the ‘featured content’ as set under the ‘customize’ – ‘featured content’ where you could define which tag is used for the posts of the section or mark some posts as ‘sticky’; (please read the small print in that ‘customize’ section).

if you use tags, you will need to tag the corresponding posts accordingly.
