• I had a blog with more than 1000 blogs posts. But recently it got suspended by hostgator due to some issues. Is there any way to get back my blog posts without approaching the hosting team?

If you don’t have access to the mysql database with those 1000 blog posts, then the answer is “No, not really”.

Contact Hostgator if you haven’t already done so and ask them for the database.

wordpress is just not working on my site, I am using hostgator and I’m sure they have all they need to run wordpress, but it doesn’t show up on my site (I am running Linux, that shouldn’t matter, does it???)

I installed wordpress on my site (internetanalysis.net) but it doesn’t show any posts, it just shows a directory listing with a bunch of things that don’t make any sense. I installed it in the wordpress directory, so you have to type http://www.internetanalysis.com/wordpress to get into wordpress, I can login but I have to click on a few links first, wordpress is not working on my site.

@davidabauer Please start your own topic. Your problem has nothing to do with sidharthpk4’s issue.

I agree – You have to contact Hostgator and they should at the least be able send you a xml file that contains your database info with blog posts. Then you could upload that to a new WP hosted blog. If they won’t, then you’ll have no choice but to resolve any issues that caused the suspension so that you can gain access to your WP site to export or transfer the site.

@dmd54 thanks for your support friend. I may do further steps.
