I guess it’s called a table but I’m not sure and I think I’m being really dumb here but I just can’t figure out how to get a new “table” working.
What I would like is to have one for future coppermine fetch plugin to work in (where the pic’s show up) and one is more like the Catagorie table. With this I mean I just want to add one subject, and no more. It’s going to be a wanted section where peeps can place there cry for help or such.

Hope I’m being clear and TIA CaramellaMorbide

p.s I’m using the borderlinechaos theme.

  • If I remember well, that theme has some “boxes” in the sidebar – [note for your next post: give a link if you want help!]…

… so, why not just open the sidebar.php template file and take the “box” you like and copy it to have another one and another and another one 🙂

That’s just what I did, and all I end up with is a box with a title and there is nothing else I can do with it…
I know I’m missing something but I just don’t know what.

Sorry forgot my link : http://www.seacloudies.com/wordpress

    (look for the Wanted box)

OK, the box is there as you wanted. Re-reading the OP:
It’s going to be a wanted section where peeps can place there cry for help or such.
Questions: who are the “peeps” who can place the cry for help? Visitors? – they cannot “write” in your code… How did you plan to do that?

OK…my plan was that this box was going to be a place where registered members can post a subject as for example : I’m looking for Mike the Cook, or I’m looking for an t’ shirt size XXL and so on.
Visitors can only read, and registered members can read, post, and edit.

If the question “how did you plan to do that” refers to “how to get the box working like the plan I have above” I can only give you one answer…I have no idea 🙂

I guess I want it to be an “seperate” box, the same idea as a catagorie box, where you (the members and me the admin) can place a new subject and add comments, and this new subjest shows up in the new box “wanted”

Hope I’m a bit clear in this, and thanx in advance for trying to help me out.

A registered user is a user of Level 0 (zero) – cannot post, cannot do anything. Learn more > User_Levels
In order to enable them to post you have to promote them to the level that will permit to post. But in that case they can post anything, anywhere. Do you really want that?

    Possible solutions:
    1. Install a “shoutbox” thing (search for it, I don’t use anything like that)
    2. Install a Miniblog plugin that and display it in the sidebar in that box + use the Limit Category plugin (see: Plugins/Restriction) and let them post only to that category.

    Dear moderator Moshu.. 😉

Thank you for your help. This is what I was looking for.
I’m still trying to figure out how I can install the miniblog in my box, but this wont take me much longer
    (I hope).
