How to generate a page of direct links to articles of one custom post type? | WordPress.org

Specifically I want to create an index of text links on a page, nothing more, so as to create a table of contents, of sorts.

I can’t find plugins that do this, and I don’t understand php well enough to be able to figure it out on my own, despite much trying.

Suggestions will be met with tearful gratitude, at this point.

You’re going to have to start looking at custom queries for this.

Unfortunately, after staring at those pages, I’m not much closer to understanding how to do it. As I say, I don’t know PHP. Any other suggestions?

Ok, after grinding for a week, I’ve found a simple plugin solution.

I thought I’d link to it here in case anybody else finds there way to this thread. The plugin is called Kalin’s Post List, and here’s an excellent tutorial about how to use it.

The Plugin really powerful for making lists of all kinds (and especially lists of posts). One of the best plugins I’ve come across.
