• I uploaded the downloaded wordpress files via FTP into a sub directory (blog) on my domain server. I.E. http://www.digitalnomads.tv/blog/wp-admin/install.php and altered the wp-config.php file. Then uploaded that into the directory where all the other wordpress files reside. I then went to the browser and entered: http://www.digitalnomads.tv/blog/wp-admin/install.php/wp-config.php The only thing I am getting is a blank white page so I entered: http://www.digitalnomads.tv/blog/wp-login.php to see if I would be prompted with a user name and password, but still a white blank page. I followed the install directions provided on the wordpress.org site, and created a MySQL user and database. Is there someone who can walk me through the upload and config process to double check that I have all the info and directories, as well as initiating wordpress install and user name/password prompt. I need to upload a wordpress template I purchased and create a site for a customer. Is there a phone number/tech support?

  • Hi Shawn!

    This is tech support 🙂

If you purchased a WordPress theme you would need to contact the author for theme specific support. However, that does not seem to be your problem and yes, the volunteers here in the forum can help with installing WordPress.

It appears you are using name.com as your registrar and host. They have a “one click installer” and I would strongly recommend using it. It is great to understand how things work, but since you are new to WordPress and having trouble with the install you might want to try that route. The installer should be located in your hosting control panel. If you can’t find it maybe give name.com a call.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks Keith! I knew there had to be a quick fix since so many people have had no problem getting wordpress as there web development tool.
