How to FTP images and import them using WordPress

  • I want to import the original images but not from WordPress’s Add Post’s Add Images because my server’s upload limit is 2Mb. What I want to do is to FTP the images into wp-content/uploads/xxxx/xx and insert the images into the post through the Add Images in the WYSIWYG editor. Is it possible? I don’t think they’ll show up there unless you upload from the WYSIWYG editor’s upload panel 🙁

  • Okay I’ve decided to resize them and upload, but thing is where did that option to configure images settings go?

You know there used to be this page under Settings that let you choose like, link to File URL, alignment center and show the large size. Now where did that go.

And if I uploaded 10 images do I have to Add Image>Show>Insert 10 times? Or can I insert all of them into the post simultaneously?

    bump
