As you can see from the provided link, I am displaying church services with a service date. Unfortunately, the datetime isn’t formatted in the way I specified in the site’s WordPress settings. I would like it be displayed like:

    January 6, 2019 – 10:30 am

(the way it is configured in WordPress) instead of:

    01/06/2019 10:30am

    How might I accomplish that?

    My template currently looks like:

    <h3>{@post_title}</h3>

    <h4><time>{@service_date}</time> -- {@speakers.post_title}</h4>

    <p>{@post_content}</p>

I added the <time> tag, but other than being a semantic thing, it doesn’t seem to provide anything useful, at least in my browser.

I’d prefer to avoid writing PHP, although if I have to, I have to. But that would force me into using a child theme.

    Help and suggestions welcomed!

    Thanks!

Did you check the display formats in the Additional Options tab for your date fields? That’s how you change the display configuration of Date/Time to match your WordPress date format or to be shown in a different format.

Thanks for the very prompt response, Jim!

I had missed that in your interface. Thanks for pointing it out. It worked like a dream!

    Much appreciated!

Glad to hear that worked 🙂
