How to fix vertical navmenu and centerd sidebar

Hi there,

I hope someone has idea of how this can be fixed as it really stops me to explore and go further with wp. Thanks

I’m following tutorial and all goes good apart from strange positioning of my navmenu and sidebar. My navmenu goes vertical and the sidebar is aligned with posts to the left..
I would like to have them like the standard wordpress layout
