How to fix URL?

  • I recently updated the web address of my blog: http://xwfs12245.general-hosting.com/blog/. However, you can see there’s problems. Looking at the source, I see references start with “ttp://…” instead of “http://…”. My hosting provider doesn’t allow access to the MySQL interface. How else can I fix this?

It also doesn’t allow me to log into the admin.

    Thanks,
    Brett

  • Then get a decent host…

But your site is able to communicate with your MySQL database?

It looks like the url stored there misses the first letter.

The OP is aware of that. The issue is:
My hosting provider doesn’t allow access to the MySQL interface.

I have a new host but I still need to get some data out of the old database (generalhosting) before I cut the cord. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Brett

If they don’t allow access to DB – you’ll have to ask them to change the home and site_url values as described in the tutorials you probably saw.
