[Resolved] How to fix ugly permalink?

  • Since last week, the permalinks of my homepage and every post has got this really weird set of numbers, letters and symbols at the end of it and I have no idea how to get rid of them or why they are suddenly there.

When you visit the homepage to my website, instead of it just being http://amiciarai.com, now it looks like this:

What on earth is this? #sthash.CH8sQX3O.dpbs And how do I get rid of it?

Everything was fine before, and the settings of my permalinks is set to http://amiciarai.com/%postname%/

And while it does add the post name, it also adds the really weird set of numbers and symbols and looks awful!

Any idea how I can get rid of them? :(((

  • @amiciarai,
This is not something to worry about, it’s usually added by social sharing plugins to be able to track which content gets shared.

I guess it only appeared when you activated a social sharing plugin or changed its options or even updated an existing one which had this new feature.

You are absolutely right! It was the ShareThis plugin! As soon as I deactivated it everything was back to normal!

Thank you so much for the fast reply and the wonderful advice!

    you’re welcome 🙂
I had this issue before and struggled until I found out about it.
