How to fix jetpack

Hi i’m trying to set Jetpack up for a client website and I keep getting this:

Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 403]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.me/support/

How do i fix this? i’m sure this have been asked before but i’m unsure.

Having the same issue since few days. I also add the activation to firewall and .htaccess but do not work.

In the past (3 weeks ago) it worked and I have not changed server settings.

Jetpack uses your site’s XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com. Unfortunately I cannot access that file on your site at the moment:
http://www.lhps.co.uk/xmlrpc.php

As you can see, access to the file is forbidden, by HAL apparently 🙂

If you use a security plugin to block access to the file, you’ll need to configure it to allow incoming and outgoing connections to /xmlrpc.php.

If you do not use such plugin, you’ll want to contact your hosting provider and ask them if they currently block access to your site’s XML-RPC file.
