Support » Fixing WordPress » How to fix javascript error–site very slow.

  • I’m working on this WP site: Please go there to see how long it takes to load.

Its loading and running EXTREMELY SLOWLY, even in Admin.

I’ve been using Firefox to look for CSS errors, html errors, and there are none.

The Error Console turned up this:

    Error: syntax error
Source File: javascript:%20 and a little green arrow pointing to the area after the last slash.

I don’t know anything aboutg Javascript. How do I go about fixing this? Could this be slowing the site? Is there any other way for me to find out what’s wrong?

  • the standard answer to start is, have you disabled your plugins first? disable em, bring em up one by one, see what happens…. its often plugin related

I’m not using any plugins at this point.

The Java Console log (Firefox) says this, does it mean anything?

    load: class com.facebook.facebookphotouploader5.FacebookPhotoUploader5.class not found.
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.facebook.facebookphotouploader5.FacebookPhotoUploader5.class
