    Hi Thomas,

I have a problem with resolving the Adsense earnings at risk message while setting up the plugin.

The error message is “A third-party file exists: https://thedailyview.com.ng/ads.txt“.

I had previously set up another ads.txt plugin which I removed because it was not tested with wp version.

Please advise me on what to do

    Thanks
    Anetor

    Hi Anetor,

    thanks for reaching out.

It looks like that other plugin did create the ads.txt file, but did not remove it. Hence the warning in Advanced Ads, because we don’t override an existing file.

If the publisher ID in that file is correct then just keep it. Technically, the file we create is not different for AdSense.

They often just need time to crawl it again after it was created. If you see the warning in your WP Backend then just close it there.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Spot on!

I logged in to my Adsense account a moment ago and the error code is gone.

    Many thanks
