    I HAVE 7000 IMAGES NOT 700

    I am neither a programmer nor a WordPress person.

    Good question in relation to bulk upsizing images. While I haven’t tried upsizing myself have you tried using a plugin such as Shortpixel, which do have options to bulk resize images?

    Note also that while the recommended image size for featured images is 1200 pixels wide this does not result in an AMP validation error. It’s a structured data warning as opposed to an error.

    Going forward for featured images before uploading to your site you could use a free online service such as Squoosh.app to ensure images do meet the recommended dimensions.
