How to Find WordPress Sites in Geographic Area

    Hello, does anyone know of a method, or a tool, that can find all the WordPress sites within a geographic area, let’s say in a given city? We’re discussing a service that would be helpful to certain WordPress site owners (local businesses), but we need an efficient way to find the sites.

    That’s going to be very very hard to do.

    What criteria would you use for determining if a site is “local”? The business address (which may or may not be listed on the site, and may or amy not be easy to find even if it is)? The hosting location? Business directories? Etc??

    If you can get that figured out, you can relatively easily find out if a site is running WordPress with a few file system/URL queries, so that part so probably the easiest.
