Support » Plugin: SlickNav Mobile Menu » How to find CSS class?

    Hi, this seems to be the most prevalent question with this plug in. So, how do I find the Menu CSS Class or ID for the menu? I have a mobile menu that I’ve made and want to use with SlickNav. Do I have to activate it on my site to be able to see the class or ID?

    I’m sure this is an excellent plug in but won’t be much easier just to have a drop down where you choose which menu you want the plug in to use? 🙂

    Cheers
    Johan

    Hi Johan,

    You find the CSS class or id in the source code – it typically is the value for the class or id attribute of the <ul>element, you can see this by viewing source or inspecting with dev tools.

    Example
    <ul id="menu-primary-menu" class="menu genesis-nav-menu">

    I use to have the plugin set up with a dropdown of menus, but this doesn’t cover all scenarios in particular menus that are not registered in the WordPress way, I wanted the plugin to be more flexible.

    Hope this helps

    Not a “simple” solution then……. a “drop down” would REALLY help. I uninstalled once I read this post. Not “bashing” at all. Just not for the average user.
