How to filter text and leave only images

    Hello,

    I’m running a blog with a category ‘photos’. In each post I publish one or more photos. I’d like to configure a static page template to show only photos from all post of a certain category. I always put photos using standard WP2.0 picture upload method. Is it possible to configure ‘the_content’ filter to remove all text from post and leave only links to photos? How? 🙂

    You’ll ask – why not a gallery? Because: it’s a lot of work and none of the galleries can display thumbs as usual links to image files (so that lightbox plugin could display the picture ‘the cool way’) 🙂

    I am having trouble understanding what you mean about galleries not being able to display thumbs as usual links to image files..

    Have you tried Lazyest Gallery yet? It supports automatic creation of thumbnails and also has lightbox support.

    I haven’t tried that 🙂 unfortunately this website is down 🙁

    I’ve tried this gallery, but it causes a lot of issues with lightbox (this feature is still experimental). There would be a lot of hassle to move all the pictures from post to gallery.

    Could anyone give me a hint about this filtering options?
