• I have a GIF blog with around 15.000 posts and around 8000 tags. These posts are into different categories (2 categories only). The two categories i have are “Reaction GIF” and “Normal GIF”.

Is there a way to filter out the tags by the category? so that the visitor can only view the “reaction gif” category by tags and filter out the tags that are in the “normal gif” category

Are there any plugins or tweaks for this?

    Thx

  • Sounds quite interesting. If I understand correctly, each tag belongs to either “Reaction GIF” or “Normal GIF” category. For e.g. post-1 has tags a, b and c under category “Reaction GIF”. post-2 has tags x, y and z under category “Normal GIF”. So I will never find tag x associated with category “Reaction GIF”

What you are looking for is a way to show the two categories and under each the list of tags unique to them. Something like this?

    Reaction GIF
    a, b, c

    Normal GIF
    x, y, z

If I have misunderstood your question, could you please give an example?

Yes thats exactly what i want it to be.

I have only 2 categories and thousands of tags in each of the categories.

Inside the REACTION GIF category i have let say tag 1, tag 2, tag 3, and in NORMAL GIF category i have tag 10, tag 11, tag 12. and i want so that people can filter out the categories, so that if someone filter out the category NORMAL GIF, the tag 10, 11, and 12 will NOT be displayed, but only the tags that are “belong” to the REACTION GIF category WILL BE VISIBLE / DISPLAYED, in this case the tag 1, 2 and 3

are there any tweaks or plugins for this?

I am using the “simple tag” plugin right now ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-tags/ )

it works ok, but the problem is that it displays ALL THE TAGS, and i cannot filter out the category at all, and thats why im searching for a solution
