How to filter recent comments when post and comments are restricted (3 posts)

We are re-testing this plugin, and we wanna hide front end posts from "exists" for _Visitor. We cant get rid of the comment listing, and the link to the post that commment belongs to.

We dont wanna visitors to patients of a doctor to read / access the title / topic of a post...

Are we missing something here ?

We don need management for the backend - that this plugin seems to be primary target. We just wanna have a front end HIDE all menu items, category dropdowns, comments, link to post, RSS and EVERYTHING that belongs to a certain POST - for a certain role.

    Can this plugin do this?

Anyone, including the author - we are greatful for a hint here.

    Hi Lundman,
It all depends how your frontend Theme has been developed.
Please make sure that your Themes check if current post has closed commenting or not.

On other sides would be much easier if you can shoot me an email with login to your website and some details on what exactly you want to hide.

    Hi and thanks for answering

    Ya mentioned:

Please make sure that your Themes check if current post has closed commenting or not

The theme allow commenting on the post, so all the roles - that can view the post - can add a comment.

The comment/author/link to post apperas in the recent comment widget.

When someone outside the scope of the accepted role for that post, views the site, The comments in the lists that belongs to a restricted post should be hidden as well.

Ive been searching for a solution many weeks. the pre_get_posts() filter does not work on get_comments(). As far I tried.

Only plugin that manage to hide this "recent comments" as well, is User Access Manager. But we are not pleased with the page load time with that plugin right now.
