I’m needing to move my recipe cards from one site to another that I own, but I’m not seeing anywhere where I can export these cards. I have the WP All export plugin, but when I export the mv_create post type, it doesn’t export the content of the recipes. How do I export the recipe cards in order to import them into the same Create plugin, but on a different site?

    Hey @klongdesigns,

Thanks so much for reaching out to us about this! Currently, we do not have a built-in way to export Create cards from one site to another and it is something that has been suggested to our plugin engineers for consideration in a future release of Create.

So sorry about that, but we do appreciate you reaching out!

So you’re saying that the only way that I can move my recipes from one domain to another is to redo them all manually?

    Hey @klongdesigns,

Thanks so much for getting back to us! As of right now, until we can build a site-to-site importer, one of the few ways to do this currently would be to move them over manually.

Another potential method here would be to do an entire copy of the site to the new site and then making any adjustments there.

Lastly, we have had some folks attempt to move Create cards from one domain to another with varying degrees of success but this would likely need the help of an experienced developer and not a method we currently support. This would typically involve migrating Create’s tables from the old domain over to the new domain but that can come with some issues as well.

    Hey Chris & Mediavine!

We faced the same issue with migrating Create Cards to a new site. WP All Import/Export will help you with this.

Not sure whether all the functionality you need would be in the free version or require an upgrade to premium, as we didn’t try free. Whether you need the functionality or not, importing and exporting can be tricky (even with the help of a plugin), and in my experience it is worth considering premium for its excellent support.

    Hope that helps đŸ™‚

@terram – May I ask how you were able to migrate all the information using WP All Import/Export? I have the professional version as well, but when I export the cards, I don’t see a way to include the custom information from the card (description, ingredients, directions, etc.). I exports the basic card information (name, id) but not any of the custom fields that the Create Cards has

    Hey there,

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from you so we’re going to go ahead and close this thread. If there’s anything else you need please don’t hesitate to start a new one!
