I have a number of sub-domains on a multisite I am amalgamating on a virtual server before uploading it again as a single site. I wasn’t able to use the plugin on the live multisite, but it’s working fine on my hard disc now I’ve split the sub-domain sites into separate single sites. BUT… the plug-in it’s not importing the comment author’s URL (when they’ve provided one). There is no field in the CSV file for this.

Can I add a field? How?

And what would I call it? (Would it be as simple as author_comment_url ?)

    Thanks,
    John

    Hi @thesupercargo,

The previous version of WordPress Comments Import & Export plugin did not support importing/exporting of the comment author URL field to the comments. We have updated the plugin with support to importing/exporting comment author URL field in the latest version(Version 2.0.9) of the plugin as per your requirement.

You may please update the plugin to the latest version in order to import/export comment author’s URL data. The comment author’s URL data can be imported using the comment_author_url column of the CSV.

    Ah, thank you!

I thought I’d updated the plugin but clearly not.

    My bad.

    Cheers,

    John
