Support » Plugin: Broadcast » How to exclude specific page elements from Broadcast?

  • Resolved virtualgeorge

I am using with multisite and a theme with visual composer.
So if on the page I am broadcasting to all the sub sites had some content such as a phone number, email and an image that I would NOT want to update, could I broadcast the page updating all content except those specific elements?

Is this where I would use the “internal field protect list” ?

If possible would someone please share the steps on how I would accomplish this?

I was creating functions that would get the meta data from the specific blog to display on the page so just curious if it would be easier to just omit specific elements on a page from updating during a broadcast?

    Any advice much appreciated 🙂

I think the easiest way to handle this would be shortcodes. [company_email] or something. Store the data in the blog options table.

Custom fields would still require the use of shortcodes in the post, and then you would have to be careful with putting the fields in the correct blacklist / protectlist.
