How to enable markdown?

    When I write markdown text in editor with ‘text’ mode and save it I have it posted as is, without changing it to html (## – h2 and so on). I want to enable markdown in my blog, but at /wp-admin/options-writing.php there is no option to turn it on. What I have to do?
