I am using WordPress 2.5 and cannot enable my comments. I checked the appropriate box in “Discussion” and I also checked the appropriate box in the “Advanced Settings” on the manage posts tab. I am completely lost here. I think I may have to change the code in comment.php, however, I don’t have the slightest clue and cannot find anything on the web to assist me. Anyone out there that knows how to do this would be a Saint!

Comments can be enabled/disabled on a post by post basis. The checkbox setting on the discussion page is just the default setting for new posts.

Go edit a post and find the option on that page to turn the comments on for that post. Do that for each post you want commenting enabled on.
