Support » Plugin: Pods - Custom Content Types and Fields » How to enable a cpt taxonomy

I have a LearnDash / BeaverBuilder environment. LearnDash creates a CPT and has an option to enable “Course Categories” in addition to WordPress Categories.

However, when I enable “Course Categories” as a LearnDash taxonomy it doesn’t show up in posts filters as an option (like in a Beaver Builder content grid filter if you are familiar with that.)

I can go into PODS and extend the LearnDash cpt with a new taxonomy field (e.g. “Special Category”) and that then does show up in a post grid filter option.

Is there a way with PODS (or something else) to edit a cpt created by a plugin (e.g. LearnDash) to make the cpt category taxonomy visible to post filters and not have to create a new category taxonomy?

You can just ‘extend’ the taxonomy, you don’t have to add a field to it, to make it visible to Pods functions.

As to why existing Custom Taxonomies aren’t visible to “post grid filter options”, that really has nothing to do with Pods, that would have everything to do with those particular post filters you’re attempting to use which would be a Beaver Builder question.
