    	</div><!-- #tertiary -->
    <?php endif; ?>

    i do appreciate the help.

    So this takes us back to the Widgets. Can you show a screen shot of your Widgets panel?

    Do you have other files with sidebar in it such as sidebar-2.php?

    Thread Starter Yukondokne

    (@yukondokne)

    just sidebar-main.php

    i don’t have a widgets panel…

    Ok looking like standard 2013 Theme code. Should be a Secondary Widget Area in the Widgets panel unless the developer hid them on purpose.

    Under Appearance>Widgets menu … you don’t see that in your Dashboard? What user rights do you have?

    this is what i see: here

    i am an administrator per the users page.

    Thread Starter Yukondokne

    (@yukondokne)

    no widgets: link

    Ok well we need to see the functions.php file and find where they hid it.

    Hey try clicking on Appearance>Customize and see if you can see your Widgets there.

    Nope not hiding it through a function “remove_menu_page”. Did you try to edit it through the Customize link?

    Try deactivating all plugins and see if the menu appears.

    the posted sidebar.php code does not match what is shown in your site.

    when looking into the ‘dashboard – appearance – editor’ make sure to have your currently used theme selected.

    or try working with FTP to edit your files.

    if you are not comfortable with editing files in WordPress, you might need to contact the original developer of your theme or consider to hire somebody for example via http://jobs.wordpress.net/

    The OP’s a Network Engineer I’m sure editing a file is not a problem! The issue is that the Widgets area is missing from the dashboard. I’m happy to look at the site myself but think we are close to solving this.
