How to edit page with drop down info

    My website was recently created by an “expert” for me. All is going well in the main so far, but it is still a work in progress.

    I have been able to make content changes without any problems going into Pages and Edit…however, my FAQ page has been set up (I don’t know how she did it) to have click on questions which then open with drop down info. All good when you view the site. But, I am unable to get into the content to make needed changes.

    When I go to FAQ Page and Edit, it comes up with the following:
    Visual Editor
    Welcome to Blank Page, You Have No Content Yet!
    Add Some Content or Use Predefined Layouts…

    Are you able to point me in the right direction please?

    Hi,

    An FAQ page with the functionality that you are describing is not part of the core WP package.

    Likely the functionality has been added with a plugin. There are quite a few, eg:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-awesome-faq/

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/spider-faq/

    Go to your plugin section and see if there is a plugin for an FAQ.

    If there is, then try and find the plugin’s instructions.

    Hi wpfan1000,

    Thanks for your reply and the info. Well, I’m totally stumped now. I’ve just looked at the installed plugins and I have 8 in total :

    Contact Form 7; Duplicate Post; Force Regenerate Thumbnails; Limit Login Attempts; MailChimp for WordPress Lite; Revolution Slider; WPBakery Visual Composer (all activated) and finally WordPress Importer (which is not activated).

    From what I’ve seen on all of these, I can’t find any to do with the accordian type drop down in my FAQs? Yet, it is on my site?

    Would you have any further advice for me please?

    Ok I did a lot of digging and found it.

    You are using the betheme:
    http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/

    It includes many shortcodes including an FAQ:
    http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/shortcodes/content-blocks#faq

    And the sample on their page looks like the one you use.

    You can ask them how to use the FAQ:
    http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/#support
