How to edit HTML shown in browser´s inspector
-
Hello guys!
I hope you can help me.Here is the thing:
On one of my wordpress sites, if I go to certain pages, and click on inspect element, I see html code, that so far is completely un-editable for me.
To give you an example, I am using a portfolio plugin (the name is irrelevant), it shows a green button, and if I right click on it (I am using Firefox´s Firebug), and inspect, I see the following simple html code:
<a href="http://domainname.com/">View More</a>
I downloaded the entire WordPress directory, and using Notepad++, opened all the php files, did a search for “View More”, and found nothing.
Lest say I want to modify the “View More” text for something like “Read even More”, how can I proceed? Or what if I want to change the
<a href="http://domainname.com/">View More</a>
to open in a new tab?I consider myself and intermediate-advanced WordPress user, but this simple html task is killing me.
I guess my question is, how do I edit HTML content shown in the browser´s inspector/console, but not shown in WordPress´s files at all? Please do not answer based on the example I provided, it was just that, an example.
How do I edit HTML content shown in the browser´s inspector/console, but not shown in WordPress´s files at all? Is there a way to edit all the html content I see in the browser´s console?
I am using child themes, so I can make as many tests, changes as needed.
